What we collect
- Account details — your name and email, so we can run your account and email you about it.
- Billing information — the name, email, and address you enter at checkout, so an order is properly recorded.
- Learning data — course progress, lesson completion, and quiz answers, so the platform can track progress and certify completion.
- Support messages — anything you email us.
What we do NOT do
We do not run third-party analytics, advertising, fingerprinting, or retargeting. No Google Analytics, no ad pixels, no usage-tracking cookies. We do not sell or share your personal information — see Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. The only cookie we set is the session cookie that keeps you logged in; details on the Cookie policy.
Third-party services we load
For the site to work we load a few assets from third parties: web fonts and the Font Awesome / Bootstrap libraries from public CDNs, and embedded course videos from YouTube and Vimeo. These providers can see the network request that loads their asset and may set their own cookies in their embeds; we do not share your account identity with them. Payment is processed without us storing card numbers.
How we use your data
Strictly to operate the service: authenticate you, deliver the courses and ebooks you bought, record orders, issue certificates, and answer your messages. We do not profile you or build an advertising picture of you.
Data retention
We keep your account and learning records for as long as your account exists, so your purchases and certificates stay available. Ask us to delete them at any time (below). Certificates already issued are preserved as historical records of completion.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email shea@equinebalance.net from your account address and we reply within seven business days.
